I love the Thanksgiving holiday. Any holiday that reminds us to be grateful is a wonderful holiday in my book. It doesn’t exclude anyone either. It doesn’t matter what your religious beliefs are, where you live, where you came from, how much you make or what you do for a living – everyone can be grateful.

I believe that gratitude needs to be practiced daily. I know that when I focus on being grateful for what I have now, even if it’s not what I want in the big picture – I know that the universe will provide me with better and better things in life when I show gratitude for what I have now and where I’m at right now.

This isn’t to say that my life is perfect, but I do think it’s an amazing life. Others may look at my life, my family, my business and not thinks it’s so special, but I do. I know where I started from and while the journey hasn’t always been easy, it has unfolded for me perfectly. Even in the worst of situations that I’ve been through, they have made me the person I am today and brought me to the place I am today. And for that I am grateful.

This works in all aspects of my life. When I started my business and wasn’t making enough money and had clients who were less than ideal, I was still grateful for the opportunity I had in front of me. I was grateful for the things I learned while working with those clients that would benefit me down the road.

Sometimes just realizing that where you are isn’t where you want to be can be something to be thankful for.
